Capital Fencing Club News: CFC finds a permanent location

Capital Fencing Club is pleased to announce it will be finding a new home at the newly remodeled Capital YMCA in Downtown Sacramento.

The relocation, slated for early August 2026, provide our members with a larger, more dynamic home for conditioning, training and competition. This early milestone in the club's growth reflects our commitment to creating the best possible experience for fencers of all ages and abilities.

Along with our new location, Capital Fencing Club is expanding its hours of operation to offer greater flexibility for athletes and families. The extended schedule will allow for more classes, open fencing sessions, private lessons, and training opportunities throughout the week. Whether you're a beginner exploring the sport for the first time or an experienced competitor preparing for your next tournament, the additional training time will help you get the most out of your fencing journey.

Perhaps the most exciting benefit of our new partnership with the Capital YMCA is access to the YMCA's outstanding amenities. Club members will enjoy a full range of resources, including the duel weight rooms, cardio gym, outdoor swimming pool, locker rooms, indoor spa/sauna, and more. By combining high-level fencing instruction with the YMCA's comprehensive facilities, we are creating a unique environment where athletes can train, achieve goals and flourish.
